  1. Nothing is “official” till it’s on Facebook. Events, birthdays, relationships – you name it, it’s got to be on Facebook before it is considered as fact.
  2. It’s too addictive and provides a great form of procrastination. Everyone has to check it at least once a day; whether it’s first thing in the morning, last thing at night, your lunch break, during work, at a train station, in a meeting (or all of the above).
  3. Clicking refresh on your home page every 30 seconds out of pure boredom – just waiting for something interesting to pop up.
  4. Everyone’s got at least 1 friend who is unhealthily addicted to Farmville (if it’s not yourself) and you in turn get the constant updates of how they have just harvested Goat Milk whilst working on their farm in Farmville. Oh please…
  5. When you find out information that you would rather have not known, whether it be certain photos, relationship change etc. And you know that it’s the thruth, because whatever Facebook displays is fact (refer back to Point 1).
  6. People updating their status’ every 5 minutes. No one really cares what trick your dog has just done, or what you’ve just had for breakfast.
  7. When people reveal ‘real’ emotion over facebook e.g. how much they hate/love someone. The worst kind is when an argument begins and all you see are sarky comments between the two parties. Then it gets to an all time low when someone else gets involved and joins in the rant and then the instigators hit back, claiming they shouldn’t get involved, it’s none of their business. WELL DON’T PUT IT ON FACEBOOK THEN!
  8. Tagging – it’s a chore but someone has to do it.
  9. The fact that you’re friends with loads of people you would never say ‘Hi’ to on the street. And then when you do see them on the street, it just gets all the more awkward as you know you’re both Facebook friends, but neither of you know or like each other that much to speak .
  10. Facebook chat – it never works.

Although these are the points that annoy me wholeheartedly about Facebook, I simultaneously love it for these reasons as well.
