While I prefer Mozilla Firefox when it comes to using a stable browser for my office PC, I use Chrome on my notebook due to its speed. We’ve been using beta release for just under a month now and here comes another Chrome stable release. This shows Google’s commitment to make Chrome the first choice browser for all users.
The good news is that it’s available for Mac and Linux users too, which makes it the first stable release for these platforms. This will undoubtedly increase Chrome’s share in the browser market.
“Chrome 5 brings significant performance improvements, including a major increase in JavaScript execution speed. It also brings support for important HTML5 features, including Web Sockets and drag-and-drop. The JavaScript acceleration and robust compatibility with emerging standards are important capabilities that will enable developers to write richer and more sophisticated Web applications” says Ars Technica.
Would you like to give it a try or do you think you’ll stick to your existing browser?
