All you Firefox fans get ready to give this a try. Soon after Firefox achieved a milestone by reaching 2 billion Firefox add-on downloads, Mozilla have made Firefox 4 beta 1 available to download. This version is said to have a “Chrome-like, minimalist interface, an improved add-on manager, speed improvements, more support for emerging Web standards like HTML5 and Google’s WebM video format” according to PC World.
From the first look though, it seems Mozilla is trying to catch up with the Google Chrome in user interface simplicity. According to Mozilla’s official blog, “there is a lot more to this beta than a facelift on Windows, including, New Add-Ons Manager, HD Video, Privacy improvements, Crash Protection and Performance.”
