My love for violin goes beyond just listening good symphonies and melodies for hours and hours. I like to play it but doesn’t have the skills to play Mozart symphonies (not even close to that :p anyway!). However, the technology has evolved and the electrical music instruments that are coming out of the gaming world have too (who doesn’t love “Guitar Hero”). Smule, the company famous for making the musical iOS titles like Ocarina, I Am T-Pain, Glee Karaoke and Magic Piano, has now released “Magic Fiddle for iPad”. (more…)

The latest release from Apple is ‘Ping’: “a social network for music”.
Yes you’ll be glad to hear it’s not another iPhone 4 post. This time it’s someting that we can more or less all enjoy. It’s a bit like iTunes, but with the added juicy-ness of the celebrity twitter world. You will now be able to follow your favourite artists and see what music they’re listening to, whilst also keeping up to date with your friends. (more…)

Contrary to a serious concern with iPhone 4’s death grip, it’s funny that a bug in the iPhone alarm settings gave many people across the UK an extra hour’s sleep yesterday when Britain reverted back to GMT. The iPhone’s clock automatically made the change but didn’t update the alarm setting, leading to a mass sleep-in.
Many users complained about this issue over twitter yesterday, however, Apple had no words to say about when the bug will be fixed.
Who would complain about having an extra lie in on a Sunday?!

While Apple fans proudly show off the Apple logo on the back of all their devices coming out of Cupertino and are happy with whatever Apple have shipped, some of us want to customise our iDevices to be different. For iPhone users we showed some unique iPhone cases, but it’s iPad fans who are going to be privileged to have a chance to give a little personal touch to their 10″ tablet.
If you’re planning to buy an iPad, Apple has a great new deal for you as you can add a laser-engraved message onto the back of your iPad for free. However, there is a price to pay in terms of the delay in shipping time and special sales and refund policy. (more…)

Back in April we were sad to bid farewell to the Floppy Disk as the optical disks killed the old magnetic diskettes. Well it seems that history is going to repeat itself with probably USB flash drives now killing optical disks. While CDs, DVDs and Blu-rays are here to stay for a while at least, it’s been ages since I last used an optical disk in my notebook. (more…)

One of the main reasons for the popularity of the iPhone and iOS devices, is becuase of the huge and diversified collection of third party apps (both free and paid). While Apple’s success this year has been one of the highlights of 2010, the Cupertino has now another reason to celebrate as the app store has reached 300,000 applications.

With iPhone4 coming to seed, ever wondered what the next step for Apple will be? Well Yanko Design have grabbed hold of what could be the next big thing for the iPhone. Basically, the future as Yanko Design see it will be for users to strap a next-gen iPhone to their wrist (this will obviously be smaller in size than the ones out now), and then this little gadget will project the display of the iPhone on to the palm of your hand.
