We heard some of the claims made about SHDC memory cards using the new UHS-I specification from SD Association, and it seems we’ll soon have our first actual memory cards based on these specifications and claims thanks to Panasonic.
The company has released 8GB and 16GB SDHC memory cards based on the specifications of the SD association’s latest UHS-I specification. “Both memory cards have maximum read speeds of up to 60MB/s and Class 10 speed specification complementing 3D and full HD video recording features of recently released cameras. Like the company’s ‘Gold’ line of memory cards, it features protection against power failures and a Super Intelligent Controller that cleans up errors preventing data damage,” reports DP Review.
No word on pricing just yet, but Panasonic says the new SDHC memory cards will be out this November.
