When Google released Google Chrome 5 stable back in May, they claimed it was the fastest browser ever. But hey, nobody said they’re going to stop there. Google is rapidly improving its browser and has come a long way in just two years – that shows the Mountain View’s pledge to get a large chunk of share in the browser market.

We’ve been using the beta release of Google Chrome 6 for a while now and really liked some of the cool features. Google decided to unveil the stable release on it’s second birthday of Chrome and the official Google Chrome blog had a look two years back to compare how it looked then.

According to the blog, the new features include “a more customizable New Tab page, browser themes, side-by-side view, password manager, better privacy controls, built-in Adobe Flash Player, Autofill, automatic translation, HTML5 capabilities and synchronization of various settings such as bookmarks, themes, extensions and browser preferences—just to name a few. Finally, there are now more than 6,000 extensions in our gallery to enhance your browsing experience.”

Though Firefox is my first choice of browser, I still request all the Internet Explorer users to please get rid of that “blue e” and switch to a better browser (give Chrome 6 a try and I bet you’ll never want to go back to that IE).
