Anything endorsed by Lady Gaga is bound to be interesting. The eccentric popstar-cum-fashion icon has previously endorsed the ‘Beats’ headphone series by Monster Cables, so when we heard that Polaroid had been working closely with the star to design a new range of products, we got curious.

Details on the first product released from Polaroid and Lady Gaga’s new Grey Label line, the GL10 Instant Printer, were released earlier this week. Following the initial unveil of the prototype in January alongside two other products, the GL20 (a pair of Gaga-style sunglasses with a camera and LCD screens in the lenses) and GL30 (a slightly more traditional Polaroid instant camera), the GL10 is the first to go on sale to the general public.

The pocket-sized printer weighs just 15 ounces and allows users to print a hard-copy 3” x 4” photo in less than 45 seconds using Polaroid’s 2nd Generation ‘Zink’ zero ink printing technology. This method of inkless printing embeds colour directly onto the paper without the need for inks or ribbons. (more…)

There have been many rumours flying around of the long awaited  Playstation Phone in the last six months, yet Sony have been constantly turning a blind eye. Finally though, Bloomberg has claimed in their report that “Sony PSP2 is expected to hit the market next week followed by the release of Playstation Phone at the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona.”

The Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2011 is just a few weeks away and Sony seems to be dominating it by announcing their new spangled device.

Bloomberg‘s sources claims that “The device includes the easy sharing for TVs and other handheld devices.” However Patrick Seybold, the spokesmen for Sony, has refused to confirm the details of the device or the release date.

Sony is believed to be preparing for a hard push into the media and entertainment market, as Apple with its’ iPhone, and Nintendo with its gaming device are rapidly shrinking the market share of the company.

Stock Clearance Discounts on Memory Cards and Card Readers Keeping everyone in the family and friends happy this Christmas could be a daunting task, especially in these economic times. Therefore, it is very important to look for the best deals on offer from various brands and retailers. With our day to day routine put almost to standstill due to the extreme weather conditions and heavy snow showers, the task to look for the best deals at your nearby shops is even more difficult. So, go for the much easier and economic option and look for the best deals on gadgets and other gift items online.

With the rapid increase in the number of gadgets that use flash memory storage or memory cards people use nowadays, the need to go for higher memory is also increasing. Even a budget point-and-shoot camera nowadays boasts up to 10 megapixels CMOS sensor so the image sizes are increasing too. Therefore, buying a new memory card for your tricky nephew could be a possible option.

With different manufacturers using different types of memory cards, it’s hard to carry a data transfer cable for every gadget including your mobile phone, music player, digital camera or camcorder. A memory card reader gives you the option to get rid of all the data transfer cables. So, you could bag a memory card reader for your brother who prefers separate gadgets over a modern smartphone with a decent camera and a music player.

This Christmas  shopping season, Mouse2House is offering Stock Clearance discounts of up to 68% on memory cards and card readers. You can check our discount offers here.

According to a list that was released yeterday, it appears that some of our favourite applications are vulnerable to certain bugs. Chrome came out on top with 76 serious vulnerabilities, where Safari had 60, Microsoft Office had 57 and Acrobat and Reader had 54, Firefox was also in there with 51.

The list was derived by Bit9, who are leaders in ‘advanced threat protection’. They found that companies such as AppleWebkit and Adobe Flash Player came out with the least vulnerabilities (9 and 8). (more…)

Facebook Revamps Messaging

As expected, Facebook has announced it’s going to roll out a new messaging system; an email/SMS/chat/ hybrid. But the founder and CEO of Facebook Mark Zuckerberg says it’s not an email killer, but a “modern messaging system” that brings together text messaging, chat and Facebook messages and he doesn’t expect users to ditch their traditional email systems.

The new messaging system will include an “@facebook.com” email address. As it is based on instant messaging rather than the more “formal” email, then if you’re online and logged into Facebook, messages will immediately show up in chat, while if you’re mobile, messages will move to your phone.

The system will use friend lists to prioritise your messages. Another folder will house less personal messages such as newsletters or bills, while a third folder will essentially act as a junk mail folder. Users will be able to add people to Facebook messaging even if they aren’t signed up to the site, and demote Facebook friends to a lower ranked folder if they don’t really want to see their messages.

Users won’t necessarily need a Facebook email account to use the system. The new messaging system will roll out over the next few months, on an invite-only basis to start with.

Tired of seeing mind numbingly meaningless updates on Facebook and Twitter by people you barely know? Well, you could cut your friends list down by two thirds, or……. just join Path!

Path is a new ‘Personal Network’ which only allows you to add a maximum of 50 friends to your network. This means that you will only have your nearest and dearest seeing what you are up to. The number 50 was decided on because on Oxford Professor claims that 150 is the maximum number of social relationships a human can cope with.

What is Path? Well according to Mashable, “it is a suite of applications (starting today with the iPhone) focused on intimate photo sharing. All you do is share pictures and three pieces of information to give them context: people, places and things”.
