Anything endorsed by Lady Gaga is bound to be interesting. The eccentric popstar-cum-fashion icon has previously endorsed the ‘Beats’ headphone series by Monster Cables, so when we heard that Polaroid had been working closely with the star to design a new range of products, we got curious.

Details on the first product released from Polaroid and Lady Gaga’s new Grey Label line, the GL10 Instant Printer, were released earlier this week. Following the initial unveil of the prototype in January alongside two other products, the GL20 (a pair of Gaga-style sunglasses with a camera and LCD screens in the lenses) and GL30 (a slightly more traditional Polaroid instant camera), the GL10 is the first to go on sale to the general public.

The pocket-sized printer weighs just 15 ounces and allows users to print a hard-copy 3” x 4” photo in less than 45 seconds using Polaroid’s 2nd Generation ‘Zink’ zero ink printing technology. This method of inkless printing embeds colour directly onto the paper without the need for inks or ribbons. (more…)

Nowadays, companies are looking at ways to cut costs especially when it comes to office consumables. Inks and toners particularly can become a major cost to firms as cartridges can literally ‘run the budget dry’.  However, shopping comparison sites are a good way to find the cartridges you need at a price to suit your budget.

Comparison sites allow you to sift through lots of different competitors in a short space of time. They are arranged so you can easily see the brand and price, allowing you to sort the results in relevance to your search, or sort in price from low to high or vice versa. Some online shops though have seemingly attractive prices, but it’s not until you get to the checkout page that delivery and VAT prices are included, so beware!

When shopping for inks and toners online, there are a number of things to look out for:

  • The price offered by different online stores
  • The quality of the product
  • Whether the products are original, compatible or remanufactured
  • The company you are buying from – their customer service skills, delivery times, VAT and delivery prices.

The disadvantages of buying you printing supplies online though are that you can’t see the items physically, and so you unable to fully assess the quality of the product. It’s easy to get confused between the two – both appear to be the same, but their prices can differ greatly. So, as ever, we’re here to help uncover the two products.

Original HP Toners

The original HP toner is manufactured by the printer brand (Hewlett Packard) itself, known as an OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer). This original HP toner is generally more expensive compared to the recycled original HP toner. It has an average fault rate of 2-3%.

Recycled Original HP Toner

A recycled original HP toner produces the exact same print quality as the original. It is made from an empty original cartridge, which is then professionally remanufactured to produce the recycled original HP toner. These toners have an average fault rate of 1-2%. (more…)

“It uses Ultrachrome K3 with vivid magenta pigment ink, along with Epson’s MicroPiezo AMC™ print head to give a maximum resolution of 5670 x 1440,” according to a press release by Epson America. “It features a Hi-Speed USB 2.0, wireless 802.11n and 100 Mbit Ethernet support for better connectivity, for both wired and wireless networks.”

The Epson R3000 photo printer will be available for sale in March at a suggested price of US$849 (£530) with a one-year limited warranty in the America and Canada.

“Epson has also announced the cartridge prices; £24.35 (inc. VAT) each”. This may seem like a relatively small number, but to fit you out with a complete set of nine cartridges will cost users £219.15 (inc. VAT). Therefore you are practically paying for half your printer again in cartridges. :/

Buying an original Samsung toner cartridge can be quite pricey as they are known for their high-quality, long lasting prints. However, with the help of technology, different manufacturers have now been able to produce compatible and remanufactured Samsung toners, which are ultimately, a lot cheaper.

Why You Should Use Remanufactured Toner Cartridges

The performance of remanufactured Samsung toners has been tested over the years and these products have been found to be producing the same quality as the originals. Conducting a user test with two Samsung toners, one which is remanufactured and the other one that is an original (OEM), can help you to really see if there are any visible differences in the outputs. Of course, you have to make sure that you are printing the same document to have equal consumption and distribution of the Samsung toner.

After looking into the printing part of a remanufactured Samsung toner, you can now compare the prices of the two items. The original Samsung toner cartridges are more costly because of the extensive and complex processing done by the brand name of Samsung. Most consumers are paying for the brand, not the cartridge itself. Toner cartridge remanufacturers on the other hand spend their money ensuring quality control stages like inspections, print testing and full packaging procedures.

Here at Mouse2House, our recycled original Samsung toner cartridges are up to 70% cheaper than the originals. So by simply switching to recycled original Samsung toners, you could be saving your business hundreds of pounds a year.

These cartridges are professionally remanufactured by our suppliers, GreenTech, who are based in Peterborough, Cambridgeshire. They remanufacture the original Samsung toner cartridges and turn them into remanufactured cartridges which is why they produce the same results (print quality and page yield) as the original. Here at Mouse2House we offer a 1 year money-back guarantee with a 24hr replacement service and free delivery on all our Samsung toners.

In addition to recycled original Samsung toner cartridges, we also sell the original Samsung toners. To find out more about our Samsung toner supplies please click here.
