Now, I don’t know whether i’ve been completely ignorant or just plain blind to the fact that there are Sims videos EVERYWHERE, but I hadn’t come across this strange phenomena until today. It seems that some Sim fanatics out there have been making mock videos of popular music videos and films. A must-see i’ve got to admit. And once you know about these, you literally find them everywhere you go. Anyway, enough of me jabbering on, it will be better if you see one for yourself…. (more…)

I thought I’d bring a bit of nostalgia to the iPhone by telling you of the Sims 3 app. Let’s all admit it, at least one point in our lives we have all been seriously addicted to the Sims on our computer; trying to learn the cheats so that we could build a mansion for our virtual friends to live in rather than a crummy small house. Sims allowed a whole new gaming revelation, allowing us to control our virtual friend’s lives. Now EA has jumped on the bandwagon so we can play the ever so popular game on our iPhones. (more…)

Last week Nintendo announced the 3D version of its handheld gaming console DS, Nintendo 3DS. Many detailed specifications were also revealed along with the official announcement. 3D…3D…3D, the world has gone 3D mad; every other electronics company is trying to come up with some 3D gadget. We’ve seen 3DTVs, 3D games and even 3D printers, I wonder if we’ll have a 3D pen some day that could draw in 3D. Most of the work is going on in the entertainment industry, but not so much in gaming, as 3DTVs lack backing of the 3D content. 3D video games seem to be the answer to this problem. Sony recently launched 3D games for its flagship gaming console Playstation3 to back its 3DTV, but you still have to wear glasses to experience the three-dimensional marvels.

Why So Much Hype?

In early April, we told you about Nintendo 3DS and wondered if it could lead the 3D revolution. There has been plenty of hype and excitement about it since Nintendo announced that it’s working on the 3D version of its handheld gaming console, Nintendo DS. The biggest reason for the excitement and high expectations was that Nintendo planned to use glasses-free technology and a lot of people including me find it tedious and uncomfortable to wear them. Well, the wait is over and it’s finally here! (more…)
