Xbox Kinect: What Are the Buyers Saying

Last week we took a look at what the experts were saying about Xbox Kinect after it launched in the US. Today, the motion-sensing hands-free gaming controller has hit the stores in the UK, so we decided to feature some of the comments or expectations the actual buyers of the £130 controller are having at the moment.

BBC Radio’s Newsbeat went to a Game store in Milton Keynes for the midnight opening of the Xbox Kinect and spoke to some people who were there to buy the Xbox 360 add-on. Here are some excerpts from the comments. (more…)

Microsoft Kinect for Xbox 360 01

“The gods have lifted the Curse of the Microsoft Hardware”. This is what experts are claiming Kinect are doing to the gaming industry. Well we’ve decided to delve a litle further into what could be a revolutionary console. We’ve looked at the good, the bad, and the down right ugly comments that have come from all experts. Let’s see what they’ve got to say.

So whilst we’re calmly (!) twiddling our thumbs, we have decided to have a look at what the tech gurus are saying about this small motion sensing camera that is expected to change the future of gaming as we know today. While I was expecting over the top reviews about the Kinect, I was un-pleasantly surprised at what I heard. Read on! (more…)

Playstation Phone

Wow, now here’s something to really rival the iPhone. Before there had just been rumours of this bad boy, but now it seems that Sony is really making a Playstation Phone (and here’s the pictures to prove it!). As you can see it still holds the main functions of what a Playstation is all about, with the typical gaming buttons either side for ease of use, and the ‘Select’ and’ Start’ buttons. The phone will also have a touchpad in the centre, so it is easier for you to manouvre yourself round the screen. (more…)
