One of the main reasons for the popularity of the iPhone and iOS devices, is becuase of the huge and diversified collection of third party apps (both free and paid). While Apple’s success this year has been one of the highlights of 2010, the Cupertino has now another reason to celebrate as the app store has reached 300,000 applications.

According to VentureBeat Apple’s App store has now a total of 300,975 applications including 94,147 free apps.

Skype 5.0 Launches with Facebook

When we saw Facebook giving an option to use your Skype account to search for your friends and Skype doing a similar thing, we were anticipating a deal between the two big companies (one the biggest social network and the other the biggest communication network with a combined user-base of a billion users). Opera Mobile Heading for Android Market Soon

Opera might have lost some market share in the PC browser market but it is by far the most popular browser for Mobile Phones. The Opera Mini became an instant hit when Apple approved it for the iPhone. It has been available for Android too but I personally love Opera Mobile on my Nokia.
