With iPhone4 coming to seed, ever wondered what the next step for Apple will be? Well Yanko Design have grabbed hold of what could be the next big thing for the iPhone. Basically, the future as Yanko Design see it will be for users to strap a next-gen iPhone to their wrist (this will obviously be smaller in size than the ones out now), and then this little gadget will project the display of the iPhone on to the palm of your hand. Apple announced the new iPod Touch yesterday with the company adding almost the same features as in the iPhone 4 – to keep it an “iPhone without the phone”. The new features include the Retina Display from the iPhone 4, an Apple A4 core, 3-axis gyroscope, Game Center, FaceTime support thanks to the addition of a front cam, and a rear cam capable of HD video. Location-based social networks like Foursquare and Gowalla have been around for a while now and we knew it was just a matter of time before Facebook, the biggest social network, joined the club with location-based services.
As expected, Facebook has finally joined the rest of the social media world by announcing “Places,” a feature that lets users “check in” to a geographical location and broadcast that info to friends.

Google has been active lately to add more features to Gmail as it integrated tasks and enhanced contacts for Gmail last week. The Mountain View has now refreshed the iPad version of Gmail with a stacked card interface for selecting and managing multiple conversations.
